No not relly in theis case. We couldn't fully use his skillset in our 4-3 defence. Playing OLB in the Patriots 3-4 is a whole lot different.

Is someone getting giddy over Rob Ninkovich who starts on the worst defensive in the NFL and played against one of the worst offenses in the NFL? I'm sure he'd a make a world of a difference here.
Hey, I got an interception and I play for the New England Patriots! I'm good! Hey "Saints Braintrust", you guys are idiots! You must be regretting that decision everyday... even after you won your Superbowl while I've been bouncing around the league. |

I don't think so. You know we may have a couple late bloomers....Bussey and Romeus. Who knows maybe next year both of them will upgrade the LB and DE positions. Here's hoping.

WOW ... didn't realize they were paying Smith that much, hopefully these young guys develop so the Saints can unload that god awful contract to resign Drew and the rest of the core players to longer deals

That's not the only awful contract we have on the books on defense...

Really happy for Ninkovich; he had a series of misfortunes with injuries before we had to let him go. Good to see he's somewhere playing, even more so starting for a winning team. I liked that we drafted him all those years ago, and I felt he could have helped us out somewhere along the way. Just as long as he don't beat us then I am good and with no worries. Good job, Rob.
