Hindsight > Perfect Vision: Cameron Jordan

Rookie Cam Jordan, along with Rookie Mark Ingram has done something that no first round pick has done since Sedrlck Ellis Rookie Season - Start...

While it's still early, Jordan was expected to provide fresh legs, along with his fresh mouth, in the pass rush department; well, at least he's keeping his trap shut 'cause he has recorded no sacks and only fourteen tackles to date...

In contrast, rookie Brooks Reed, picked in the second round by Planet Houston has Five Sacks to geaux with twenty-seven (27) tackles; this, after getting replacement time for IR casualty Mario Williams...

Free Agent Andre Carter, formerly a Redskin, has thirty-eight (38) tackles and nine (9) sacks...

So, is Jordan getting it done or does he need better, improved effort?

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Jordan is in a 4-man rotation at DE, sometimes 5. He's not gonna put up stats that blow you away.

The bottom line is that you can see flashes from both players. Thats good enough for me.

Good point Danno. It would be nice to see him get some sacks but he does rotate a lot. It does make me wonder what kind of game he would turn in if he was used exclusively. Same with Ingram.

I thought Cam looked pretty good when he was in yesterday. It'd be interesting to see Ingram do something other than take it straight up their throat when everybody and their mother knows that's what he's gonna do....

It's the defensive system, I'm thinkin'. I mean, how does your SS lead the team in sacks? 21 sacks, and nearly half of those are from DB's. He needs to improve, though. It looks as though he is still uncomfortable from lack of experience. I'd like to make an educated guess after the bye, when he gets the opportunity to learn the defense better. Whether he takes that opportunity...well...he's a big boy, and getting paid to get better. If he doesn't over the next couple of years, we've got us a cross between Grant and Sullivan. Ewww...

That's funny...I could have swore Danno made a comment before me. Well....it was there and for the record it was a good point.

Fair statements and assessments, but, no sacks? I mean, none?

We're in Week 11 and I'm having concerns of former NY Jet bust Gholston...

Most indications were that he'd be disruptive with a nice sack stat line...

He got a sack vs bucs on josh freeman, but the refs called the holding penalty on the bucs which got rid of it lol freemans knee was down, I'd like to see him have a bigger role and get some sacks though

Agreed, what does it say that Harper leads in both?

A- Harper' s a real good player
B- GW plays Harper 100% of the time
C- GW places Harper in position to acquire sacks and tackles

Our front 4 does need to step it up and they've looked a little better the last few games, but they still need to improve a lot.

Our LB's are pitiful. Throughout the Atlanta game Turner was hitting the 2nd level exactly where one of our LB's should be but wasn't. Shanle was no where to be seen on numerous runs.
