I am amzed at the concepts of "dry counties" places you cannot buy alcohol AT ALL. No matter the day or time.
I have come across those in Georgia & Tenessee (Lynchburg Tenesse where they MAKE Jack Daniels - is a dry county. They can make it & GIVE you samples BUT they cannot sell it!!) |

Not sure if it's still this way, but I remember back in my college days, Starkville Miss sold beer in gas stations...but only hot beer!!!??? Now that is some crazy SH!%!! |
[QUOTE=saintpaul25;349452]This will be the last one.... These are the "after drinking for a while pictures".... Did you guys know, you can't buy beer at a store, in ATL, AT ALL ON SUNDAY??? In the dome you can buy it, or at a bar, but not at the store!
The people voted YES for Sunday sales last Tuesday. So beginning with College Park, GA sales will begin this Sunday. |
Georgia Dome is a great place to watch football. The tiers of seating are steeper than most venues, so EVERYONE is closer to the field.
Our Dome was built back when gas was 25 cents per gallon and no thought put into efficiency or use of space. Can't get enough game picture threads. I treasure mine, probably because it's such a hassle to travel from AK to a game anywhere. Great share, St.Paul! Alaska |

Hope you didn't think I was knocking your seats, skymike. Not my intent.
It's just that 1st row Mezzanine or Terrace differs from venue to venue with respect to how close you are to the action. I'm sure you've experienced that. When I lived in "lower America" (heehee) I used to like just being at a game because I used to go more often. Now that I'm half a world away I like to sit between the 35's and low. I now like to sit right behind the bench so we can be as close to the players as possible. That way, if I feel Shanle, for instance, is jacked up, I'll tell him myself. Funny story: I was in the Georgia dome during the early '90's. Down from Camp Lejeune for a Saints game. I sat at the 45 right behind the Saints. It was the usual ball-busting game, no holds barred fight. We were down by a couple but still in the game and the defense was TIRED. They were all occupying bench seats with their heads in their hands like they were WOOPED. They must've been. Well, I commenced to giving them a Marine Corps style ass-chewing, leaning over the rail. The entire defense stood and looked around like, "Is he f'ing serious!?" The basic point I was getting across was this damn game is not over and you are going to win it! They did. No. I don't do that at every game. But I should... Alaska |
