Injury Bug

Wow..top players are dropping like flies. This is getting weird.

First Houston loses Schaub for the rest of the season with an "Ivory"(lis frank) injury. These guys were playoff contenders. I have 0 faith that Leinhart can continue there winning ways.

Jay Cutler broke his thumb today. His backup is Caleb Hanie...whoever he is.

This is just the two playoff teams I can think of at the moment. A lot of others also: Adrian Peterson, Fred Davis, Hasselback and Heyward-Bey, who had to be carted off on a stretcher.

At the moment I am feeling good that the bug hasn't bit us to bad YET(knocking on my head). This is just proof of how important it is to have depth. The QB position especially. The days of having a Steve Young sitting on your bench seems like forever ago.

We we're bitten by that bug for the last several years. This is probably the least injured team we've fielded under Payton. And as you said, knock on wood.

Could go without sayin'.

...jus' sayin'.

But a valid point. Tenth week is perfect for a bye. We're healthy and will remain that way for the run to the Superbowl.

LOL..didn't mean for it to sound like I was putting the "gris gris" on us. Alaska got what I was getting at, just a clearer way of saying it..lol

Things are happening to certain teams that can help us. Coming off a bye relatively healthy, I feel pretty good about our chances of a nice season ending run to the playoffs.
