Garcia to be Released? (Caution 08 Theories here)

Looks like Garcia isn't interested in taking a big pay cut. If they release him, I wonder what that $10 dollars worth of relief does to our chances to snag Plummer or Peterson? :( On the bright side, I wonder if the Chargers might be interested in picking up a Garcia on the cheap? |

Garcia to be Released? (Caution 08 Theories here)
How about this on the Garcia and Peterson front :
McVay also said the 49ers will use their franchise tag on Pro Bowl linebacker Julian Peterson if they fail to sign him to a long-term agreement by Tuesday. That\'s the deadline for imposing the designation. http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...rs/7988776.htm |

Garcia to be Released? (Caution 08 Theories here)
Putting my pencil to work here :
Giving Rattay the start in San Francisco and Peterson get\'s the tag for the 40 whiners . Stirring the NFL pot here and penciling in Garcia as the Starter in Tampa . Gruden is unhappy with the offense and the way Johnson quarterbacked the Bucs last year , so he looks for veteran leadership across the Bay from where he used to be .The deciding factor in signing Garcia comes with the knowledge that Garcia has dealt with tempermental receivers before and the Bucs cannot deal away Meshawn Johnson . Bucs take a later round quarterback in the draft to groom and cut King .... |

Garcia to be Released? (Caution 08 Theories here)
I think Garcia ends up in San Diego. Can\'t get away from that Californina sunshine . He could really put some spark in Martyball.
Gruden\'s already given up on Sims, you think? The Bucs have so many needs; it\'d be a darned shame for them to waste a pick on another young qb . Very interesting... |

Garcia to be Released? (Caution 08 Theories here)
You know, that would be a savvy move by the Chargers folks.
They would be FAR better served to use that 1st pick to take Gallery at OT or Roy Williams at WR, which are more critical needs for them. If we could manage the Brooks trade, they would still be able to draft a very good WR and look to OT in the second round. They have to be hating the Brunnell deal. We need to move fast before Garcia becomes a cap casualty. The iron is officially hot. It\'s time to strike. |
