I totally agree that we need a ball hawk, but that\'s what a #2 CB should be. Your top guy should cover the other teams best WR and the other guys should be looking for the turnovers. We could go get Bobby Taylor, or Ahmed Plummer, or one of these other bigger guys to play #2. But for that #1 spot...I just think Winfield has too much to offer to pass him up. It doesn\'t matter how big you are, it\'s how big you play. |

I believe we need corners for other teams besides carolina. Carolina main source for moving the ball is Davis not Smith. True enough Smith might be the dangerous WR in our division but I believe Fred Thomas can cover him. Now what bout Mushin Muhammad( 6\'2 ), Brian Finneran (6\'5), Joe Jurevicius (6\'5). Then after that our schedule is loaded with tall WR.

I was being sarcastic with Steve Smith being a \'monster\', I\'m sorry you missed it...
As far as Mushin Muhammad, Brian Finneran & Joe Jurevicius...none of them are that good. They are all #2 WR\'s for their respective teams and may not even be the #2 by the time the season starts. A guy like Winfield would totally shut any of them down. Hell, Fernado Bryant, as crappy as he is, could probably shut those guys down. Height doesn\'t mean jack if you don\'t know how to use it. I\'m more worried about Steve Smith than any of them, and he\'s only 5\'9\". [Edited on 21/2/2004 by rAge] |
