After more than three months of posturing and jostling, ESPN and Cox Communications settled their cable -TV feud Thursday. The two renewed and extended a carriage agreement to continue to offer the 24-hour all-sports network and its sister networks to Cox's 6.6 million customers.

The long-term agreement keeps ESPN and ESPN2 on expanded basic and ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic and ESPN HD on a digital tier, and the launch of ESPN Deportes, ESPN's 24-hour Spanish language network, in markets where Cox offers a Spanish-language tier. ESPN Deportes currently is not available for local Cox Communications subscribers, but it might be added.
