As I sit here with my "got Drew? we do! 9 New Orleans" T-shirt on, I get to thinking about the challenge that is ahead of this Saints Sunday night against the visiting Lions. Yes, they are coming to New Orleans without the services of their best defensive player in Ndamukong Suh, who's two-game suspension was upheld yesterday by the NFL after his attempt at an appeal, and yes, they are hindered by numerous injuries after a very physical Thanksgiving Day loss to the Green Bay Packers at Ford Field in Detroit, but they are still very deep with talent and full of desire as a team in this league.

If you think about it, wasn't it sheer desire and overwhelming positive motivation from their baseball brethren, the Cardinals, who had just won the World Series for the city of St Louis, that drove the winless Rams to defeat these same Saints in week 8? I do believe it was. That, and maybe, just maybe, New Orleans' players were overlooking the St Louis trip as an easy win. That just can't happen this weekend. Can it?

Do me a favor y'all and add your thoughts regarding who you think the seven inactives might be for this game in response to the section I added below the Saints final injury report for the week about Jonathan Vilma being PROBABLE this weekend with the possibility of going active for the first time in a while.
