Offensive Lines: Mid-Season Report
2. New Orleans Saints
Rank: Pass Blocking = 5th, Run Blocking = 5th, Penalties = 3rd The Saints’ line has been extremely consistent, and worryingly for opponents, is really hitting its stride. Replacing Jon Stinchcomb with Zach Strief has helped, as has the emergence of Brian De La Puente. They may have lucked into it with Olin Kreutz walking away, but it led to them being able to match ‘DLP’ (let’s see if that will catch on) up with the ever excellent Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans to form the best interior in the league. Props as well to Jermon Bushrod for his improved play. Offensive Lines: Mid-Season Report | ProFootballFocus.com |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |

In 2011, the Saints have suffered the most of ANY team in the NFL at offensive line.
In 2011, the Saints made the BIGGEST turnaround at the offensive line position that I've ever seen mid-season. Everything has been different since the Rams game.
Somehow the line has re-gelled, especially with the return of Strief. What a great story, coaching job, and stand up job by the players to pull it together. |

the recent running game success shows the development of this line
in past years the o-line would be ranked near the top in fewest sacks allowed, but we did not have the balance we do now. ...and is Dec 8 mid season now? |
