In a critical matchup with playoff implications for both teams involved, the 9-3 New Orleans Saints prepare to travel to LP Field in Nashville to take on the 7-5 Tennessee Titans this Sunday, December 11, 2011. Weather for game time is expected to be 40 degrees and sunny, which should bode well for the Saints who plan to arrive early on Saturday to run some drills on the field surface and make sure they have the proper cleats and footing for Sunday. This will be the first of two road games in a row for the Saints (@ the Titans and @ the Vikings) before they come back home to NOLA to stay for the remaining two games (Atlanta and Carolina) of the 2011 regular season. New Orleans holds a two game lead over the 7-5 Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South while the Titans are two games behind the 9-3 Houston Texans in the AFC North.
Saints fans who are in the Music City for this game may want to consider picking up some authentic New Orleans-style po-boys, muffulettas and fried potatoes or pickle chips from Ri'chard's Louisiana Cafe' (Ri'chard's <> "Live Music - Dead Crawfish") in Whites Creek, TN before the game at NOON. Just 11 miles and 15 minutes north of LP Field on the east bank of the Cumberland River from downtown Nashville off I-24W, it's an very easy trip to make prior to the game for some great cajun cuisine. Though Ri'chard's normally opens for Sunday Brunch at 11 AM (CT), they will be opening their doors early this weekend, at 10 AM, for the Saints at Titans game just down the road in Nashville. You can peruse their Sunday Brunch menu here (Ri'chard's <> Dinner & Brunch Menus) and call in your order early, starting at 9 AM, for pick-up or dine-in at 10 or later. Be sure to say “bonjou” to Ri'chard when you stop in, and tell him Derrick in Clarksville sent ya'll. The New Orleans Saints can clinch the division title in the NFC South with a win over in Tennessee as well as help from the 3 point road favorite Falcons if they were to lose to the 4-8 Carolina Panthers in Charlotte this Sunday. If the Falcons loss doesn't happen, the Saints can still clinch at least a wild card playoff spot this weekend with a win over the Titans along with either a week 14 loss by the 7-5 Chicago Bears (at the Denver Broncos) or the 7-5 Detroit Lions (versus the Minnesota Vikings).
