Today's Game Theme is Brought To You By:

The Officials. Because they want to be seen on TV too.

At least the calls are equal on both sides.

BIGEASY504 12-11-2011 02:19 PM

Very Sloppy Officiating

Are these new refs, we had a TD call back and they score – damn. We need to take this game for outdoor momentum. We stop the run but leave holes in the secondary

TheOak 12-11-2011 02:54 PM

Officiating does suck but Saints are just playing lazy.... Nicks almost helped that guy by that just sacked Drew..... bad tackling, bad pass coverage, a lot of sloppy play....

Halo 12-11-2011 03:19 PM

SHOCK AND AWE

crawgator 12-11-2011 03:28 PM

Winning Ugly!!!!

KK that was a messed up game but we still won it....

Lots of things went wrong the Refs did suck... We throw a pass with less than 2 mins left that stopped the clock.... Our Defense even though it came up big at the right times, still looks bad...

But let me say this even though Drew Brees was off a little bit he showed up when he had to...

We do need to make some improvements before the Playoffs start...

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

Halo 12-11-2011 03:29 PM

10 AND 3, I'LL TAKE IT

halloween 65 12-11-2011 03:30 PM

Me to.

papz 12-11-2011 03:33 PM

Bad officiating?

What's new?

papz 12-11-2011 03:36 PM

Game was so incredibly boring the first half... I was wishing for a different game to watch on CBS.

Cruize 12-11-2011 03:39 PM

Worst I've ever seen.

halloween 65 12-11-2011 03:41 PM

I will say that our D kept us in this game, whatever scheme we played on D in the end of the 3rd and 4th quarter we don't need to be in................

Officiating was about as bad as our D played in the 2nd half.

Beastmode 12-11-2011 03:41 PM

Funny thing, they were talking about hitting us hard but the exact opposite happened.

Halo 12-11-2011 03:41 PM

The refs controlled the game and it stunk. The holding was so inconsistent.

3 touchdowns for the Saints called back. UNREAL!

UK_WhoDat 12-11-2011 03:45 PM

It wasn't sloppy officiating. It was inept.

dizzle88 12-11-2011 03:46 PM

The refs calling was not equal for both sides

We had two Touchdowns called back, and on another TD colston was being held for atleast 7 seconds.

Refs screwed up, GW saved us and then screwed up,

The D is too complicated, dumb it down abit GW your only hurting yourself and us

dizzle88 12-11-2011 03:48 PM

The refs tried to hand the game to the titans, when that didn't work, GW tried to at the very end

I know i'm kind of a broken record but - he put an LB on nate washington TWICE, and we got burned for a 40 yard TD and a 54 yard gain!

jlouhill 12-11-2011 03:49 PM

I am not one who blames the refs for a loss or whatever because of a few bad calls. I just don't believe in that. But what I do hate is when the refs almost singlehandedly determine the outcome of a game because of excessive penalty calling. It's been said for years that you could call holding on virtually every play, I think that crew today took that to heart.

Did it look like the game was called fairly on both sides in Chi - Town, cause to me it didn't look like the game was called fairly in Calamazoo!!! They took two touchdowns away from the Saints, and another 100 yards of offense!!!

Danno 12-11-2011 04:00 PM

It looked like they were being paid per penalty.

spkb25 12-11-2011 04:02 PM

Just disgusting

Danno 12-11-2011 04:03 PM

They inconsistency from game to game is destroying the game.

Halo 12-11-2011 04:03 PM

It really is disgusting. I've seen this officiating crew before, worst I've ever seen them call a game. The penalties were totally inconsistent.

Apparently if you're within 6 inches from the QB's helmet, its a helmet to helmet contact.

Or if you sack the QB at his chest and you bump his facemask, that's helmet to helmet I guess.

I was waiting for Hasslebeck's pink panties to fall out his jock on that call!

Yeah, the good part was that was the only play where he got to do his patented most unmanly fist pump ,ever, although the prancing like ballerina calf injury was pretty amusing too

SaintPauly 12-11-2011 04:36 PM

I was completely disgusted by this officiating crew. Theres an old saying that if they really wanted too, they could call holding on every play. These refs took this to heart today.... And dont even get me started on the other call backs.... Even in review they screw it up! Not one of those refs should be paid for that sham....

foreverfan 12-11-2011 04:39 PM

I knew we were good enough the beat the 12th man, Titans and the officials. This it the mark of a great team.

pherein 12-11-2011 04:41 PM

We really had a great chance to run away with this game , but the bad ref calls kept the Titans in it.

foreverfan 12-11-2011 04:45 PM

Henderson's pass was a completion too.

True, but SP made the right call not challenging.

Agreed. To close to overturn.

breesfan27 12-11-2011 05:43 PM

WORST. OFFICIATING. EVER!!! Jokes on them though, cause we won! Suck it , refs!

Euphoria 12-11-2011 05:55 PM

Not the worse officiating ever obviously you guys didn't see the start of the season!!!

I thought the calls were legit except the one on Bushrod... that was BS.

Henderson's catch was incomplete... it hit the ground

OldMaid 12-11-2011 06:06 PM

I agree with everyone. Glad Saints won, first of all. 10-3 is a good place. The Saints let it get really close there. Too close.

The refs were totally off. Unbelievable officiating.
That Graham TD was a TD.

For these reasons with officials, the Saints have to keep playing 4 qrtrs. of football and the defense needs to turn up every qrtr. and play the whole qrtr. The officials these days call what is there, not there. What is not there, like that Titans' TD, they call it there.

SaintsBro 12-11-2011 07:33 PM

The whole idea of calling a quarterback for a false start, because his head is moving when he yells the signals, is a total joke, in the modern Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees era. I vaguely remember seeing a QB get called for head-bobbing a fake snap, in some AFC game in the 1970s sometime when I was a little kid, but in the modern era it's a totally ridiculous call...it shows you how inept the officiating crew was...QB's do that all day long, every Sunday, around the league...I don't know them, but my suspicion is that this was a small-market crew that is not used to dealing with elite teams, and not prepared for envelope-pushing play, and they were not prepared to handle the fast speed and subtleties of the contemporary pro game. And they compensated for their lack of authority with ticky-tacky holding calls, bad spots (there was even a crucial very bad spot of the ball for Tennessee at one point), phantom flags (picked up, "there is no foul on the play") and so forth.

I think Hassleback hit the button at Buffalo Wild wings before the game.

That karma is a female dog. hassleback gets all pumped up after the call and then hurts himself jumping up and down.
