NASHVILLE, Tenn. ― New Orleans much maligned defense gave up everything but a touchdown, ending the 22-17 win over Tennessee with a coverage sack on Jake Locker as the Titans were trying to score from the Saints five-yard line as the clock ran out.

After Drew Brees was nearly picked off in Saints territory with less than two minutes to go and nursing the five-point lead, the Saints let the Titans move down the field with ease, completing a 25-yard pass on the first play of the drive and a 40-yard toss to Nate Washington who nearly took it in for the score, only being knocked down at the five after three hits by Saints defensive backs that had him moving around like a silver ball in a pinball machine.

Tracy Porter made a key stop on a second and goal play from the five, knocking away a pass that would have been the game winner for the Titans.

They should make a rating system for officials that's made public everyone to see. Coaches have win/loss records and players have stats... why not for officials too. I'd like to see fines for massively blow calls also... certainly not to the extent like players and coaches who earn a boat load, but even a speeding ticket type fine will get the point across.

O.K. I can handle a few bad calls although I'm not happy with a few of them and we still won but our secondary is not playing well at all on deep thrown balls, I can only comment on the 2nd half didn't get to watch the first, but they are getting burned to bad and needs to correct whatever they are doing, the front 4 looks much better and our lb's looked fairly good. Can anyone explain to me why our secondary is playing so poorly?

They already have. I don't think its public but they are graded after every game. Their grades help determine what crews officiate in the playoffs and the SB.
