NASHVILLE, TENN. -- An intense flare-up of back spasms during pregame warmups nearly kept Saints tight end Jimmy Graham out of the lineup Sunday -- sending Saints fans and fantasy football players alike into a frenzy before kickoff. Ultimately, though, Graham fought through the pain and caught five passes for 55 yards. He almost added a 4-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, but officials ruled that his toe tickled the out-of-bounds grass.
It kind of scared me," Graham said of the lower back pain that "came out of nowhere" after he made an "awkward" catch during pregame warmups. "(Before the game) I'm like, 'I can barely stand up right now. I'm here in the locker room by myself. I can barely put my pads on.' Full article. I'm glad he was able to play, he really helped. Also hope it's not the start of a kidney stone I had my 4th last week.

When I first heard the announcers say he was limping, I worried he had an ankle or knee issue.
Glad to hear it wasn't serious and was glad to see the effort he gave. Stud TE and glad he's a Saint! |

The first couple snaps, everytime he ran he looked like he'd been shot in the back.
I was like man this cannot be good, it definitley looked like a knee issue though, thankfully it wasn't. Nothing keeps this kid out of the game and dominating defenses, i went mental when he caught that 33 yard pass, hurdled a defender, broke a tackle, then plowed straight over their safety. My girlfriend looked at me like WTF are you yelling about? lmao |

Whats funny is that as the game went on, she started to ask more questions about the game and why Jimmy Grahams Touchdown wasn't a touchdown? A part of my brain thought "Has the black and gold bug got her finally?" lmao |

I was thinking he was just in as a decoy on that first play and that was going to be it. Boy was I wrong. Once his back loosened up he was looking good again.
