One thing I have noticed about the Saints' D is that they seem to be able to stop the 3rd and short plays to get the ball back for our O. However, for some inexplicable reason, teams seem to convert 3rd and very long yardage against them. I know that seems backwards, but that is how it is.
It could be that Williams is blitzing too much on the 3rd and longs, and our coverage (generally one on one due to the blitz) is playing too far off the LOS. I don't know what is the case when we are only rushing 3 or 4, and dropping everyone back into the passing lanes. If this D could ever fix that (since they are now stopping the run well, especially runs up the middle) then we would really have something. |

Green Bay D gets the turnovers whereas ours doesn't. Giving the ball back to Rodgers is lethal, as would be our D giving it back to Brees; but that just hasn't happened nearly enough this season.

We've gone 4 games without committing a turnover on offense...green bay won't get anymore gifts from us if we run into them again

This thread should be merged with the "Bend-don't-Break" one. Oh wait, they're opposites viewpoints on the same topic. Never mind

I agree on the turn overs.... Green Bay's defense is number one in take-aways.... That's the biggest difference between these two defenses... Say what you want about Sharper being over the hill, but he did get the int's that our dbs seem to be dropping on a regular basis.... And we have had our chances! That's what bothers me the most....
