Actually not as much as the rumors about the Vikings wanting to trade Moss.
Can you imagine what Mike Tice could do with another 1st round pick and all that cap space? |

Is that after the franchise tag? Because, the Saints should have around $24m.
The Eagles having all that room doesn\'t worry me. They have had close to that for the past few years and done nothing with it. They choke in the NFC Championship game every year anyway. |

Well, provided Kearse is healed up properly, the Eagles are going to be formidable. I think it\'s a good signing when you have to play Coughlin, Gibbs and Parcells twice just to win the division.
If they do sign a free agent WR like TO or Jackson and draft a WR they could be the team to beat in the NFC. I wonder if we\'re ever going to do anything in free agency? |

We’ve brought in many quality free agents over the last several years. Fred Thomas Wayne Gandy Victor Riley Boo Williams (undrafted FA) Ernie Conwell David Sloan (although he busted) Kendal Jacox Jerome Pathon Joe Horn Fred Thomas Jay Bellamy Tebucky Jones Ashley Ambrose Aaron Brooks (although technically a trade) Orlando Ruff Derrick Rogers Many of these guys we obtained dirt cheap, some we overpaid big time. But to imply we haven’t been active and relatively successful in the FA market is a doomerism. [Edited on 3/3/2004 by Danno] |

OK Danno. The Saints need a starting caliber CB, and that\'s being nice. They need a serious impact player at MLB. They need a DT. From there, you\'re probably looking at another CB, and then OT, RB, WR, or whomever the best value is. Can we generally agree on the major needs? If so, what do you think the chances are that the Saints will sign quality impact players at those at least three main positions this offseason?

Even Zach Thomas would still be an upgrade, so I\'m not griping too loudly. |
