On the surface, there are some similarities to this week’s game for the New Orleans Saints as there were seven weeks ago.

Start with a road game in a domed stadium against a team that’s struggling, throw in a top-notch running back and a defensive line that can pressure the quarterback and you can have a problem on your hands if you’re not careful.

That’s what the Saints (10-3) will be facing when they try to accomplish a number of things against the Minnesota Vikings (2-11) at noon Sunday on Mall of America Field.

The first thing the Saints would like to do is extend their winning streak to six games. They haven’t lost since being ambushed on Oct. 30 by the then-winless St. Louis Rams, 31-21, the game that spawned comparisons to this matchup against the Vikings.

A victory would put the Saints a step closer to two remaining regular-season goals, winning the NFC South title and earning the conference’s No. 2 seed and first-round playoff bye after nailing down a postseason berth last week.

“We’re playing for a lot,” quarterback Drew Brees said. “We’ve clinched a playoff spot, but that’s nowhere near our ultimate goal. We have plenty of dominoes to knock over as we go along here.

Id like to stress very simply. We are not playing GB,NYG,PITT, BAL, NE,SF, or any other contending great team today, so though we all are nervous about how we do against bad teems, lets keep that in mind.

Are boys are going to do what they do, regardless of if we are worried about them. We can only believe in them for 4 quarters. Same as we ask the boys to play.

I do not think this is a bad team, I think it is a very good team with a losing record, And I am no Minni fan only when they play the Packers, but they have found ways to lose and today I hope they find another way to lose. I also feel this is going to be a close one. Saints 27- Minn 24. Joe Webb will come off the bench and the fireworks will begin. I don't like him but he gives them a spark, but it will be too little to late.
