New Orleans Saints Week 15 Recap: Brees/D Beat Vikes Soundly!

Despite starting the game with several key mistakes that gave away points, albeit field goals and not touchdowns at least, Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints‘ defense played a spectacular game to make it all right in the end with a 42-20 win over the Vikings on the road in Minneapolis. WhoDat chants could be heard in that cold weather dome with a great turnout of Saints fans up there in Minnesota too!

QB Drew Brees 9 went 32-40 passing (80%) for 412 yards/5 TDs and a 149.2 QB rating.

RB Darren Sproles 43 had 231 all-purpose yards today!

RB Chris Ivory 29 had 18 carries for 74 yards to lead all Saints running backs on the day, followed by Pierre Thomas 23 with 8 totes of the rock for 44 yards and 1 TD and Sproles with 8 for 33 plus all his other yards on screen passes and returns.

Brees used 9 receivers on this day to complete his 412 yards and 5 TD passes with no interceptions!

WR Marques Colston 12 had 8 catches for 91 yards, WR Lance Moore 16 caught 5 passes for 91 yards and 2 TDs, Sprolsie (of course) had 5 for 79 and 1 receiving TD on the day, TE Jimmy Graham 80 had 7 catches for 70 yards and 1 TD, PT Cruiser went 2 for 41, WR Robert Meachem 17 received 2 for 22 yards, FB Jed Collins 45 brought in 1 for 12, WR Devery Henderson 19 was 1 for 4 and TE John Gilmore 89 caught a 2 yard TD pass from Drew Brees!

The Saints‘ defense was outstanding all day long, all around. Hats off to them for keeping New Orleans in the game early on and remaining stout all throughout to secure a run-away win for Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints today!
