The ONLY bad thing to come from thumping the Falcons
Would be that we would probably cause them to be the #6 seed instead of #5 - assuming Detroit keeps winning. Detroit should beat Green Bay as the Packers will have HFA by then and will be resting.
If we don't catch SF and end up the #3 seed, that means we would host the Falcons. I don't want to see the Falcons in the Dome in playoffs! Well, not until we've destroyed the 9ers and the Falcons have taken down Dallas & Green Bay. Then we can kick their butts a 3rd time in the NFCCG. |

Beating them 3 times and knocking them out of the playoffs would be GLORIOUS

Asking coach Payton to scratch out three wins against a strong division opponent in one season is more than I want to put on him. I would rather it played out some other way..........meanwhile, we just need to win Monday night first. After that we need to take care of business and get the number 2 seed and let the rest shake itself out.

Don't really care which route or who we face. I like our match up against everyone.

If the Niners were to win Saturday and we clinch the division Monday night, would you play the starters vs Carolina?
Probably would start them, then do a lot of scoreboard watching and then pull them if SF got up big on the Rams... |

The only bad thing to come from thumping the Falcons will be having to listen to their bum-hurt whining fans jibber--jawing insanely as if we got lucky and they somehow let us slip one past them, despite our owning the series 9-2. And then listening to their delusional arrogant rantings all during the offseason about how we got lucky this time (despite our owning the series 9-2) and they are going to be so much better next year once they get a few more pieces and how Ryan is so elite and Brees is over-rated
