That was a good solid hit. Honestly they have nothing to play for and he was still banged up... I would have sat him for the rest of the year. Gerhart has been playing well.

All joking aside. That injury looked horrible. I doubt he will ever be the same RB. This is why I don't believe in paying RBs franchise $ these days. |

ESPN 1500 Twin Cities' Tom Pelissero reports that the Vikings fear Adrian Peterson tore both the ACL and MCL in his left knee Saturday.
Pelissero also confirms that such an injury would "probably" jeopardize Peterson's availability for the start of next season. Typically, doctors are forced to wait several weeks and sometimes months for the MCL to heal before repairing the ACL with reconstructive surgery.
