Good Job front office!

I really don\'t think all is lost yet! Ian Gold, Dhani Jones and Brandon Short would all be upgrades to the LB corp, and theyre out there (so here\'s hoping we make a move). I really hope we sign Woodard, as I think he\'d be a great fit on our line (and to those of you who think he is nothing more than a backup, the fact that the Pats wanted him last year to be their starting NT should maybe change your tune.) So there are good players still out there.

We didn\'t pick up one of the FA CBs, but if we picked up Dunta or Gamble in the first, and Strait in the second, I definitely think that Fred Thomas and Ambrose can hold down the fort while the new guys learn the ropes. Remember, Fred and Ambrose were the starters last year, and our secondary wasn\'t that bad.

I\'m not trying to blindly defend our front office here, believe me, if we don\'t make a serious play for Ian Gold or Dhani Jones I\'ll probably become just as pessimistic about the Saints chances as WhoDat. All I\'m trying to say though is that it is WAY too early to throw in the towel for this offseason yet.

\'They want to give me $6 million. What do I do? - Fred Thomas

To Late for anything drastic... that should have been done while the playoffs were going on to fire the coaches.

Good Job front office!

Perhaps the front office knows something that we don\'t. Such as up coming cuts or an inside ear to the June 1 cuts. A long shot but with so much money under the cap and such little action thus far in free agency by the team; something must be going on. The decision not to pursue one of the available free agent corners bothers me very much. To completely overlook such a glaring need is ridiculous. I believe that a trade and/or a move up in the draft is on the horizon. I don\'t see the current management doing nothing of consequence this off season knowing full well that without results they will be out. IF the moves are made and no progess is seen at the end of the season the coaching staff can always say that player turnover or a failure to jell or failure of new players to fit into the system caused the downfall in an attempt to save their jobs. IF no moves are made with obvious needs not filled; a lack of success lies squarely in the laps of the coaching staff and management. I say to expect major moves leading up to the draft.

The only major moves will be signing of a LB... there will be no major cuts of June first who would cut a stud Corner? Look for the Saints to land an OLD DJ WIlliams and a corner or \"2\" in the first 2 rounds with there 3 picks.
