My Pro-Bowl Conspiracy Theory

I haven't floated a conspiracy theory in years, so I'm owed one. While I'm proud of our o-line and of course Jimmy Graham for EARNING their way onto the Pro-Bowl team, but I can just hear commentators now justifying their Aaron Rodgers MVP vote: "Brees had four Pro-Bowlers blocking for him. Any quarterback in the league could have 5,000 yards with the amount of time he gets in the pocket."

To the media, most of them, Aaron Rodgers became their new "FAVRE"/"P. MANNING"/"BRADY"!

You might have a point G504, for commentators rarely look at the chronology of events.
In your case - like what did Brees do BEFORE we knew we had 3 Pro Bowl O-line?

With the greatest of respect to our receiving core, who are all very talented, Brees hardly has a 'Larry Fitzgerald' or 'Megatron' to aim at does he? Ok there's an argument for Jimmy Graham, who has been awesome, but I'm talking a WR. An out and out WR.

Like I said, Colston is superb, Moore is an absolute matchup nightmare and Sproles must give you sleepless nights if you have to defend him but Brees still works with what he has. I'm sure they won't mention that when they are going on about his O-Line.

Also, Nicks and Evans are the best guards in the NFL. I have no problem with that. But Bushrod, the 3rd best tackle in the NFC? Hmmmm. Not so sure about that but he is playing really well.

am i the only one who could not care less about our players going to the pro bowl? Its nothing more than a popularity contest and its a risk to our players health. besides none of our guys will be going to the pro bowl anyway. we will be in the super bowl.

Biggest game of the regular season and your center doesn't even want to play in the NFL.

LOL. I had totally forgotten about Kreutz. Farthest former player from my mind!

It was like they caught him gazing in the shower too many times and they were gonna out him if he didn't retire... Or SOMETHING!
