My thoughts exactly. How many stories from pissed off fans posing as sports writers are we gonna have to endure? If Falcons fans arn't the biggest bunch of frikkin crybabies. I don't think the Vikings fans whined this much after we beat them in the NFCCG.

Did Mike smith dis respect us when he went for a 4th and 1 at his own 27 yard line? Who cares, we all hate the falcons and I'm cool with disrespecting them at any given opportunity, I'm just happy for a blowout win against them |

Yes...but who doesn't disrespect the 'Clowns? I'm pretty sure that SP would not have done that if it was NE and BB...or someone else that he respected as much...like maybe Coughlin. (Oh...wait...he ran up the score on TC, too...my bad)

I hate when things like this come up. I mean, I honestly thought football games were 60 minutes? Guess not.

atlanta went for it on 4th down and got stopped....if they had punted the ball, Drew could have thrown for the 30 or so yards and then ran the clock out without scoring...BUT they decided to try to still be competitive in the game so they get what they get...going for it on 4th down means your still trying to win the game so why should SP not continue to call plays designed to win the game

No. Drew was too close to the record and nobody even knew if he would be playing the next week. Also, it was the perfect time to set the record. The game had been decided, which meant you could stop and let the team and fans celebrate the accomplishment. Tell me what coach at any level would have kneed the game out with 5 minutes left under the same circumstances. ... and keep in mind, atlanta had yet to throw in the towel. THEY were still playing.
