The Gilroy Dispatch reports free agent QB Jeff Garcia (49ers) is headed to Tampa Bay to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His signing is expected to be announced at a press conference later this week and is slated to land a three- or four-year deal worth between $15 million and $20 million according to his father, Bobby Garcia. "He's going to Florida," said Garcia's father. "This is a fresh start. He's going in there with guns drawn, fully loaded. He's going to give it his best shot. He said, 'Dad, I'm totally committed now. This is a new step in my life.' " The Buccaneers, as of Monday, March 8, would not confirm or deny the deal and a spokesman for the Buccaneers said no press conference has been scheduled.

I wonder if he revitalizes his career in Tampa?
If Gruden drafts a for-real RB and some help at OT and WR, they could be a problem next year.

Garcia could give our defense fits if he gets more than 3 seconds to throw the ball.

Just saw that myself, I was going to post it. Just another reason to dislike Tampa Bay, but it will make our a$$-whoopin\'s all the merrier.

nothing to worry about... thump him on the head once with your thump and he is done for 6-8 weeks. TB needs lot of help and the chemistry just isn\'t there as it use to be... believe it or not we are in a lot better shape

yeah garcia is going to tampa just ask kurt warner\'s wife, she helped broker the deal at the same time she negotiated her husbands trade

Yep....deadflatbird is right....Browns signed Garcia to a four year deal....We won\'t have to worry about seeing him twice in a season again. Couch most likely on his way out in Cleveland...if not, he\'ll be getting a great view of the game from the bench
