Still trying to decide after last night if the Giants are that good or the Cowboys just that bad.

To answer your question, I think it is very possible.

Yes the Giants are that good (occasionally) and the Cowboys are that bad (frequently).

Very very good chance. Giants almost beat them last time. Its one of the teams the packers are afraid of.

on Any Given Sunday any team can win, just look what happened with us and the Rams...

Or even Seattle last season. Even with all the injuries, we beat that team 9 out of 10 times.

I think it's going to be a close game. Green Bay's defense has struggled all year and Eli has taken a step up this year. If Pierre-Paul and Tuck bring their A game, I can definitely see them taking it.

It would be nice if the Giants would be able to beat the Packers.... but on the other hand, I think that there are some old scores to settle and the honor of sending the Packers packing belongs to the Saints.

Also, beating the Packers in the Conference Championship game at their home stadium would quiet the Cheese-heads about which team is the best... at least in the NFC.

Im with Fin. Our SB we killed 3 hall of fames QB's, no one can say we sneaked in. We earned it.

IF GB loses we can't control that, but Id rather Brees torch Arod, and smash the Pats to win a SB. Then Drew would have beaten. Brady,Rogers, Manning, Warner, Farve etc.. theres no doubt he's one of the best ever.

I can say they are not talking it up the way they did at the start of the year, I think reality has fell on them and they want no part of us, it's not being said but you can tell. The Packers O-Line is banged up. The Giants bring the pressure. It's not impossible. And yes, the Cowboys are bad.

Wanting to win the SB, and having the best chance possible to do that, does not equal scared.

If I evaluate the stats this year correctly, the best chance possible for us, is playing in the dome.

It is a gargantuan feat to win the Super Bowl, that implies both skill, execution and luck. To me, there is no reason not to want any advantage you can get. That's mostly why we played our starters against Carolina. When asked, the first thing Payton said was "There is still seeding at stake..."

I think they have the defense to pressure Rodgers and slow down their potent offense and Eli is putting up elite numbers this season, so they can keep up with them in a shootout if their defense can keep Rodgers off the field. I also think they can beat San Francisco. Again their Defense will keep Alex and their lack luster offense in check even San Fran slows down Eli and Cruz. The Giants are built well to play any teams in the NFC except maybe us, if we continue to play the way we have the last couple weeks.

I don't think that anyone here would dispute the fact that winning the SB would be the absolute No. 1 thing for the Saints to achieve this season - no matter who they faced along the road to that final goal or however those individual games were won.

All I was originally saying was that I would relish the chance to see the Saints play in the conference finals against Green Bay, because 1) they are the number one seed of NFC and NFL; 2) they defeated the Saints in the season opener; and 3) because it would undoubtedly be a highly entertaining match... one that might have a chance to go down in history as one of the greatest.

And I don't worry about things like HOL for Brees, because I have no doubts when it comes to his induction down the road.

Well thats not true. I mean a man calling a man a "boy" is in itself a put down. Sense football is a guy sport the next level down is girl. Has nothing to do with women. Its not a politically correct sport, and men playing like smith, have the mental capacity of a soft shell crab.

Of course you want to win a SB, but we only have a few years of Brees/SP. If we don't make our mark, we may never get another chance.
Maybe the thing you should be asking is why do you want to avoid GB, Pats ? are we that weak and undeserving that we would not beat them? Then why do we deserve a SB.

but beating SF, GB, Pats, and having Brady, Manning, warner, Rogers, Farve, etc on our team wins, seems so much more fulfilling than killing a Rookie QB and beating the Bengals in the SB.

Yeah, I'm sure he has no regrets about the career decisions he has made since leaving GBR's beer league, but he also seems like a man who would hold a grudge even though he might not openly admit it.

Anyway, I'm happy for the success GB is having with their current staff and players, because it's nice to see small market area teams like the Saints and Packers succeed whereas rich teams like the Cowboys fall short once again.

Although, the Vikes being my No. 2 team, I can't honestly admit that I'm overjoyed when the Packers win games.

Eli has been good all year. I might take that bet. The could beat the Acme Packers.

Giants are a beater team than the falcons, as a whole. Problem with the Giants is their secondary, but their DL might be the best in the NFL.
