Question How about this for a potential change in Saints defense?

IF, Gregg Williams leaves the Saints next year for whatever reason, the Saints sign Steve Spagnuolo, the Rams ex-head coach.

He was the Giants DC when they beat the then un-beaten Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Maybe he could get the Saints D-Line to pressure QBs.

Just a thought.

If GW leaves (HC or fired) I'd love to bring in Spags and see what he could do with the defense here

IIRC that was Paytons 1st choice as DC when he joined the Saints, but we couldn't land him at that time.

I realize our defense has been lackluster for the first 3/4 of the season. Maybe they needed time to gel or figure things out or whatever. All I'm going to say is this team is 13-3. I personally hope we keep who we have as coaches.

Unless we get into the NFC championship...

There needs to be some serious upgrade on D and I just don't see it happening unless Sharper comes on board as an assistant DB coach or something... or even GW's dismissal. Either he leaves for another job or we cut him loose.

I know it sounds drastic despite our success but we aren't a team that needs to keep developing. We are a WIN NOW team. We have all the tools and weapons... we must win now before the window closes. It will close.

You can't put a price on continuity. Let's just keep GW and continue upgrading our starting roster and depth. He is not a stupid man.
