Should we be afraid of loosing Aaron Kromer?

Should we be afraid of loosing Aaron Kromer? Who is that you might ask. Coach Kromer is the Saints OL coach and has held that position for 3 years. During those years we have seen a probowle leave for the Redskins and a guy drafted in the lower rounds rise to the challange and become a probowler himself. We have also had 2 guards with great production and loosing a center early this season only seemed to make us better because the backup was well prepared.

Our running game is 6th overall with 132,9yds per game and the QB has only been sacked 24 times which is tied for second in the leauge.

Strief has developed nicely and when he went down Brown came in and got the job done. Coach Kromer to me has shown that he knows what he's doing with the O-line and I getting worried that some other team might wanna pluck him away.

What do ya'll think?

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Earlier in this season, the O-Line sucked on run blocking. Positively, sucked.
I actually wrote Kromer a letter with some suggestions.

The run blocking is obviously looking better now. [NOT TAKING CREDIT]

Honestly ..... I think we shouldn't be giving other teams any ideas.

And, I think Kromer is great, now.

good point crusader

yep. This is a good point. Surely, Kromer is doing something right. Payton only has so many hours in a day, and he cant do everything. I'm
sure this guy has something to do with it. Give him a raise.

I don't think he will be going anywhere for now. Not many OL coaches get promoted to OC or head coaches especially with all the big names available right now.

Worried? Not so much. Disappointed? Yeah.

Coaches come and go. When Marrone left, another guy steps up. That's just the nature of the business.

I think an O-line coach in Payton's system is worth more than two in the bush in some other system. If he left for browner pastures, he would get nowhere near the attention or satisfaction he gets from the results that come from the success he's having with Payton/Brees and company. If its just about the money, offer him what's fair, let him walk if he chooses, and find someone else who's willing to feast in that seat at the table. The Saints offensive line is "jellin" right now. If he wants to, or decides to walk away, for whatever reason, we would wish him luck and will have to bar the door for the number of coaches clammering for that spot. I am reasonably sure that there's a long list of O-lineman around the league that would love to transfer to New Orleans to be a part of this O-unit. This group is something special. The coaches and the players have to know it, or else they need to kick rocks.

I'm a bit more worried about losing Pete Carmichael. Afraid that some team will see him as a Payton Jr. with the way he helped this season and want to interview him.
