Eli Manning works out at Saints facility
You make it out like the Saints were working him out, when the reality is - he is working out for the entire NFL. JP Losman was there as well. It\'s just local QB\'s working out at a local place. It doesn\'t mean anything for the Saints.

It\'s the \"08 spin\" rAge....the propaganda machine full speed ahead. If you don\'t recognize it yet you will.
I do wonder tho if 08 managed to talk Eli out of his home phone number? :P [Edited on 12/3/2004 by saintfan] |

Actually that article didn\'t get the \"08 treatment\" at all.
To truly spin that article, you\'d have to say something like; \"Saints coaches among 50 others evaluating Eli\'s workout.\" I can\'t imagine being at the same facility and not watching a future hall of famer working out before the draft. |

Eli Manning works out at Saints facility
Quickie report on the Thursday workout of Eli Manning, the Mississippi star who auditioned for league scouts at the New Orleans Saints complex: A solid workout but not a scintillating one. Manning threw the ball well enough, demonstrated good touch and accuracy, and will still be the first quarterback chosen and still possible the top prospect to go off the board. But two scouts said that J.P Losman of Tulane, who worked out just after Manning, actually threw some routes better. Losman continues to strengthen his stock as a likely second-round pick.

Yeah it looks like Tulane is turning into a little bit of a QB farm. Their QBs just keep getting better. First King, then Ramsey, now Losman.

Eli Manning
Pure passer...Outstanding bloodlines (his Dad is Archie and brother is Peyton) and he may be the best of the three, which is saying something because your talking about Hall of Famers...A leader and field general...Has better phsyical tools than Peyton...Great throwing mechanics...Shows nice touch and a quick release...Knows how to read a defense like his brother...Great size. Here is an interesting thought : Of all the fields Eli could have pulled this little show off on , why does he choose the Saints trainning facility ???? First time I have ever heard of an N.F.L. prospect putting on a pre draft exhibition on an N.F.L. team practice field ... |
