One day in New Orleans
OK, I'm leaving in a couple of hours heading south to Baton Rouge. I will be in New Orleans at about 9:00 tomorrow morning. This will be my first day in New Orleans since 1981 (The Rolling Stones Concert), I was 19. I need help with a list of MUST DO's while there just one day. Things to see, places to eat, etc etc. I will be meeting SkyMike and Budsdrinker, and I'm surer others of you, about 3:30 or 4:00. So I have about 6 hours. Can you guys help me out?
Top on my list is the WWII Museum. I'll do that as soon as I arrive. After that, I'm open. |

Parkway bakery for a Po-boy.
Central Grocery for a Muffellata on your way out of town (for later). Oh and try those nuts in the dome...they are the bomb! |

Muffeletta at Central. Don't miss it.
Also, I'd get a bowl of gumbo somewhere. Not sure the best place anymore. |
