49ers may pull same bush-league crap as Bears
Thankfully, they will be coming outdoors to face the 49ers. The initial weather report for Candlestick Park is 60 degrees and sunny, but naturally that is subject to change. Sunday has clouds in the forecast and Monday calls for a few showers. There was one great suggestion from several folks on twitter: SPRINKLERS!
If you are a San Francisco Giants fan who knows his history, you might recall that the Giants reportedly used to water down the infield dirt before games with the Dodgers so as to slow down speedster Maury Wills. I do think the 49ers can beat the Saints in good weather at Candlestick, but why not keep the sprinklers on a little bit longer before Saturday's game? Dampen up that surface just a little bit more and maybe it slows down the Saints even further. 49ers Vs. Saints: Early Weather Report Calls For Sprinklers - Niners Nation |

My bet is that they will do it to only one end of the field and then pick the other end if they lose the toss...trying to get the Saints going into a wet and sloggy red zone...just watch.

If the game goes late, there goes the lights. Bring a flashlight! It is not called Candlestick for no reason.

I'm sorry but as a fan or a professional why aren't these people embarrassed they have to cheat to get an advantage. I would be embarrassed. That's like saying "Hey the Packers are coming to the dome. Why not throw a couple bucks at the refs to even up the odds a little?" I just don't agree with this type of ****. Go ahead and water the field. We will still beat the **** out of you.
