No way GW wants to play Payton twice a year for the division. They probably know each other very well and know how the other man thinks. As well as his tendencies. If GW leaves he won't be going to the Failcons.

I also don't see this being a fit, because GW is really into like, his scheme and system and plugging in relatively unknown players, he likes seeing talent in people when it is 2 or 3 years away and keeping them around, coaching them up...whereas Altanta's system on defense is all about trying quick-fix, desperate moves with signing players, that don't work out, then "upgrading" and throwing money willy-nilly at new unproven players on defense, then sacking them and doing it again, thinking they are somehow going to fix the problems that way. The Falcons team has one of those tinkering, flash-in-the-pan, "Next year, all we need is a few more pieces and we are set" type philosophies, as getting Julio showed. And its sorta proven from his past experiences at other teams, that GW does NOT really deal very well with any of that type of jive.

Why would he want to take over a franchise that wasted its entire 2012 and part of its 2013 draft on one player, who's often injured, btw?
Talk about walking into a dead zone... |

I don't see why anyone would want GW. We spent half the year complaining about our defense.
If we get another Super Bowl win, he can do whatever he likes, but I personally don't think he'll leave to start over somewhere else. Alaska |
