'Experts' Say Raiders Might Want To Trade Down!
After reading article after article, mock draft after mock draft, alot of 'Experts' are saying the Raiders may trade down, supossedly not having a 'glaring' need. If this is true do you think we should try to make a deal giving up that extra 2nd rounder? and for who? we could get the best D player in the draft period! But just who is that guy? Gamble, Vilma, J.D. Williams, D. Robinson,W. Poole? at least 2 or 3 of these guys should still be available at #18, right? What would you do? Trade up or stay where we're at?

I don\'t like trading up. I\'ll assume the intent is to try and get Eli.
Lets see, Darren Howard willdemand about 60, McAllister will cost us aboiut a zillion, and an Eli won\'t even lace them up without a MEGA contract. It would hurt this team in the short run as well as the long run. Although I\'d love to see Manning in a Saints jersey, I don\'t think its wise. IMO |

Raiders have lots of wholes to fill... they are an aging team and need young talent BADLY, glaring need, YOUTH. Trading down in the first round for them would be a good thing. Depending on who the Chargers pull the trigger on first. They will also be looking at getting rid of not so friendly cap hits and get some young talent who isn\'t costing them an arm and a leg. If they do stay at 2, they will go OT hell even WR. trading down for them is a viable option. Does that mean New Orleans will go get Manning if Chargers don\'t take him? I seriously don\'t think so... all New Orleans has been doing is setting themselves up to draft CB. The price to snag Manning will be most of the picks this year and some next year... to much!
Trading up to 10 could land us the best player on D in the draft... either Vilma or Gamble. Neither will be left at 18. Dunta Robinson CB, isn\'t worth an 18 although one of the fastest players in the draft he played CB his senior year and will be on a major learning curve when in the NFL. We can trade down and get a CB with the same value if not him. 18 I like OLB DJ Williams not a glaring need for us but he is a definate 18 pick, if he falls there. Trade up, but trade up to 10th or 12th. We don\'t need the Raiders pick, but the best defensive players in this year\'s draft won\'t fall much higher than 8th. Otherwise, stay right where we are.

Brooks and 18th pick for a number 2. Only if I didn\'t have a starting QB already. Raiders want a solid back up and Brooks contract is high for a back up.
