NFL Replay
I sat through NFL replay to watch the Lions get destroyed again, but most importantly I wanted to see all these missed holding calls 'crion' fans were whinning about. My conclusion? It's not holding just because someone's hand touches your lineman. Plus the Brees fumble was whistled too soon by the line judge. Had there been no whistle the Lions would have been tackled as the whole offensive line was there but had given up on the play. The difference between the saints and lions is that the saints play whistle to whistle. The lions only play after the whistle.
One more thing, the second Detroit touchdown, there was an uncalled hand to the face. Will Smith was slapped in the face twice. So, if you hear anyone calling for a '9ers win because Detroit got robbed (in the tone of the once active Canton) they don't know football. Now, ON TO SAN FRAN! |

You probably noticed this as well, but the play was blown dead before the Lions had possession. So, the ball should have gone back to the Saints.
