LSU...3 National Championships and counting
Sorry maybe some of LSU's luck (and skill) can rub off on the Saints this coming year.
Plus we need some good news to cheer up some of the fans on this board. LSU made NCAA history last weekend in Fayetteville, Ark., becoming the first program to ever win both the men's and women's indoor titles in the same year. LSUsurfer |

what does LSU track has to do with anying on this board. Maybe the New England Patriots can rub off on the Saints? Whats going to happen is the LSU basketball team rubbing off... getting into the NIT and losing in the first round.

This may be the first time they won both the mens and womens titles during the indoor season, but that\'s a much lesser feat than what they\'ve done over the last 15 or 20 years in the outdoor program. The women won something unreal like 9 out of 11 years, and the men won a few in that span as well... if memory serves. LSU\'s track program is top notch. Of course, it doesn\'t have anything to do with football or the Saints... well, maybe Haslett will draft a sprinter or long-jumper this year b/c he\'s a great athlete.

maybe we\'ll get extra points during a game if we have a track team behind the bench running sprints or long jump against the opponets track team?

Maybe the Saints should start a track team, call them the \"Gumbo\" and lure Pat Henry from LSU. So then the Saints can own 2 successful non-NFL organizations, the Voodoo and the Gumbo, and 1 unsuccessful NFL organazation, the Saints.
If the Benson empire expands enough, maybe the success of the other organizations can eclipse the Saints\' woes. |

well that will certainly start a debate over the name of the track team... I think they should be called the Angels... because Angels have wings... so they can fly... lol

Don\'t dismiss the lsu factor for the Saints deadbird. LSU has a large fan base, if the Saints start drafting more players from LSU, a lot more fans will come over to the Saints, that means more money in Benson\'s pocket. That means a bigger chance he will throw some more money out there and KEEP the Saints here. Plus drafting LSU players is just good business.

I know all to well the LSU fan base. I know all to well that they are the Louisiana College team and not the Professional team. Sometimes people confuse the two and post LSU stuff here as well. I am a LSU fan as well but if I wanted to talk LSU stuff with you I would go to an LSU site, hey maybe thats just me. I come here to chat with my fellow Saint fans. Benson hasn\'t any plans on moving the Saints til at least 08-09 seasons. Adding the Voodoo to the mix I SERIOUSLY don\'t think the Saints will be moving. He is adding and building in New Orleans and if he pulled the Saints out... I am sure he will be run out of town completely and don\'t think he would be allowed back at all... lol. So lets not even talk about moving the Saints if he doesn\'t get LSU fans. I think a large part of the Saints fans are LSU fans as well, has to do with some like being just down the road from each other. ...And before I start getting bombed here I know there are LSU fans who are not Saints fans and vice-versa.
