Congrats to the '49ers! They deserved to win this game more than we did. I will always be a Saints fan, but today wasn't meant to be! Wait till next year though!! Thanks to all the forum members for the fun this year.....I can't wait for the new season to begin!

Amazing game is all I can say and Rats off to the 49ers. Good luck from here on out. Saints deserve to lose that game even if they would have pulled it off without question. I fault Payton on the lack of importance on ball control. It cost the Saints the game in the end. The turnovers just got to the point of complete failure to understand how the 49ers edge out games. And GW, I'm sorry man but it's time to go. Their only real weapon was Vernon and from our plan that's all they needed. Unexcusable.

We got beat. Plain and simple. Not in all aspects of the game but too many of them. Tough way to bow down. Niners played hard and deserved it.

No shame here. They had an extra week of preparation and it was in their backyard. That Rams game, I don't think anyone realized how critical it would be in the end. It really cost us the season IMO.

So many people here I agree with.
To 49's , yeah they won, but not as much as a win for them as the Saints lost to themselves. I am still, always will be a Saints fan.
I am not a fairweather fan.
The Saints mistakes

, losing two TD's in the first qrtr. , were costly. I don't know what else, because I left. I could not watch the rest of the game. (Nerves, being around a pesstimistic person, tired from doing family things today ) I figured if the Saints won, I would catch it on rebroadcast.
YES, a win is a win, so 49'ers won

49ers, you brought the wood and created turnovers that earned you a victory. You have a very good defense that was able to limit a very good offense enough to overcome a mentally arthritic Saints DC. Congrats on taking advantage of the Saints weak spots.

San Fran attacked our weaknesses - SS and OLB - all night.

Every team has weaknesses. Don't blame that on our DC.
