In the end Fundementals killed us
i am sticking to the two TD at the end.
Robinson and Jordan got schooled on the naked boot leg. a rookie and a second year guy. wrong game to learn in. I believe it was Roberson who was following the WR as he went in motion and was more worried about weaving his way through the defense than making sure his player was actually still in motion. Opps It was his job to double check the crack back block. he ran himself out of play and was all alone wondering were his guy went to. Have to admit he looked really good doing it. One heck of a pretty dance to get to the other side. To bad he look like a headless chicken after he tried to relocate his assignment. Which way did he go which way he go If i am wrong i apologize now to Pat. Now everyone is screaming at Harper on the Davis TD but i am looking at the underneath LB Shanle, i believe, on that play. He was flat footed on the play end of story. It was The LB job to cut the passing lane off till Harper could take over coverage. Was Harper a step late or not? If the LB slides with the reciever he completes the coverage i think harper would have made the play. Once again if i am wrong sorry Scott. Either way basic fundamental football break downs did us in on defense in the end. But in know way will i not credit the defense for keeping us in the game. |

It was a great throw and route by the 9ers. Was Harper too late? Or was Shanle too shallow? Only GW knows. |
