PFT picks up Saints' fans experience at Candlestick Park
Profootballtalk.com just posted a story regarding Saints' fans experiences at that cement hole in the ground known as Candlestick Park. Apparently a letter to the editor from a Saint fan was printed in the SF Chronicle. Glad to hear it! What I witnessed at that place was truly atrocious and I hope to never again spend another dime in San Fran, no matter how pretty it may be.

thats why its called "ENEMY TERRITORY"...I dont condone the act, but cmon...when I go to seattle I expect the ***** Piece of $&#@ hawk fans to treat me like that..
be objective...but keep in mind, they sell beer at every stadium. You ever slept with a fat chick cuz you were drunk? I have...Did I regret my actions the next day? You bet. From now on lets just think of the niner and hawk fans as the fat chick you should of NOT banged.. |

Let me try to diffuse this here by getting us back on topic.
I agree that when going into "enemy territory" you should expect some heckling and that sort of thing. Screaming obscenities at Teenage Girls and threatening violence toward their dad is over the line. San Fran fans should ESPECIALLY know better what with what happened to the SF Giants fan on opening day last year. I mean, come on. Violence and threats of violence are inexcusable. It's just sports. |

i was thoroughly unimpressed by their fans.
and though i completely agree with it being "enemy territory." they simply don't know how to deal with success...i don't want a cookie or a smile...but a simple "f*)k you, saints suck" would suffice for the ignorance i saw. oddly enough, their insults were bigotry and ignorance laden (i.e. i was called a "******" or "fag" at least 50x by the different 49er groups around me). then, when i decided to tell them the rules (how EVERY scoring play is reviewed when they were screaming for a challenge...idiots)...they said "shut up ******, you better hope we win, or you're not making it out of the stadium." cheers san fran; at least san diego and new orleans keep it classy |

Had my season tickets since 06 in the Dome, I have never seen any Saint fan (even the seriously drunk ones) cross the line with ragging the visiting team. Went to Jacksonville game this year, their fans knew we were going to beat them, and they invited us to tailgate and had a great time and had some good fun smack there also. Karma is a ***** so I'm sure they will settle down after the Giants kick their butts.

What else should you expect from a bunch of battery throwers?
I've been in the dome since 2006 and all I see is booing and good humored ribbing of opposing fans but then again New Orleans knows how to do tourism, most cities and fan bases don't |

Sorry to hear the bad story. It sucks to be in those shoes. Lord knows I've been in them before. To hell with them go giants, then go ravens all the way!

I have a hard time understanding what kind of sick pleasure you get from putting somebody else down instead of just rejoicing in your own teams success.

Just confirms what I thot all along. "They are who we thot they were!" Bunch of classless idiots who don't even deserve to HAVE a stadium. Everything in CA is going to he** in a handbasket anyway. Obviously they weren't so SURE of themselves if they were that emotional......unlike what they would have liked for us to believe...they were skeered to death that the Saints were gonna wear them out! And if they hadn't resorted to cheating, we would have, despite the turnovers!
