2012 NFL playoffs -- San Francisco 49ers, NFL increase stadium security for NFC Championship Game - ESPN

The Saints should find out who the father and daughters were who were mistreated at the game last week and fly them out to the Superdome next year for the game @ home.

Maybe even show them on the big screen before the game...

Some people can't handle things. Success, failure, emotions, alcohol... It's not like the NFL screens people before they buy tickets.

That's why I bought my girlfriend a can of bear mace. That'll teach 'em.

I was in the dome for the Saints / Bears game this year. All I saw was Bears fans being stupid. After the game one if them even stood outside the dome yelling at Saints fans and cursing. I told him he's lucky he was in New Orleans because he'd get his ass kicked if he were not in such a well mannored southern city.

I'm glad the 9ers fans got bad publicity. Sorry, I don't believe you shouldnt be able to take your kids to a game. The 49er following should be embarrassed, but I doubt they are.

Undercover police will be dressed in Giants' garb and on the lookout for nasty fans. Giants fans will be handed a card as they enter Candlestick Park with details on how to contact police if they feel threatened.

is that a misprint? why would the cops be wearing Giants gear?

sounds like entrapment
I think the writer was thinking of the baseball Giants. Why would the cops incite home fans?

The cops won't incite the home fans. The issue last week was that home fans were starting on the away fans. Therefore if the cops are dresses as away fans (Giants) and they start on them, they can arrest them. Or they can detail the abuse or whatever. It's easier to take an account when it is directed AT you, not standing as a 49ers fan and watching some other idiot directing it at an innocent.

Anyway, I posted after the game about this. I now feel UBER vindicated about what I saw, given that there was an official complain to the league and this is the action they are taking!

To the 49er's fans act like you been there before. You have been there before, you should know how to act.
