I will probably go to a Superbowl party but I doubt I watch much of the game.

Perhaps it is because I have lived through all of the ups and downs that I am able to compartmentalize. I am not going to let the fact that we came up short this year stand in the way of enjoying what is left.

That said, next year ...

Sucked the way it ended this year, and last year too. But I'm with Guido. The years of suckage are not so far behind me that I don't have vivid memories.

I've said it before, which is not to say I'm satisfied with this year's results, but in the end to know from one season to the next that we're going to be competitive - to know that we'll be in the mix again - that's what makes these some high times.

Every team's fans thinks they have reason to be optimistic. We can be optimistic and point to evidence to support it beyond just being another year. In spite of the last two seasons, we're a very fortunate fan base.

Now let's all sit back and enjoy the ride!

C'mon Man...

I'm not copletely sold on Nicks, not because of his skill but more because I believe there is a lot of value in the draft. Nicks was a 5th round pick for one and I watched Payton Manning throughout the years get it done with offensive lines that were pratically rebuilt in mid season due to injuries. I just think it's a no brainer. Let him go so we can get some consistency on defense. Now if he was a Willie Roaf caliber player hell no.

I just can't get over it. Off season, please hurry. Spags, get that D looking like a D, please!
I copied the game off my DVR to a disc to save (why I don't know - just habit I guess). It was the first time I had seen footage of the game since it happened. I ended up sitting down in front of the TV at the 4 minute mark and watched the ending again.

I am no less shocked/frustrasted/demoralized than I was almost 2 weeks ago. That pill was not only hard to swallow, it hasn't went down yet.

Football season ended with the Saints - it always does for me. The rest of the playoffs become who I hate the most and hoping they lose. The Giants took care of that. Goodell could cancel the rest of the 2011-12 season for all I care now.

I'll tune back in for the draft...

And add to what I said that I would bet a lot of $$$ that the Saints would have taken the Giants in the Dome. I don't think I would have ever been more confident about a playoff game.

We coulda, woulda, shoulda been playing in Indy next weekend...

I hate that the Saints are not in the Superbowl but I still watch the games. If you didn't watch the AFC and NFC Championship games last weekend you hosed yourself. Those games were terrific.
