What I want to see from Spags
Sacks. We were pitiful this year at getting sacks. I know spags likes to blitz like Williams but I want to see some sacks and QB pressure more than anything. For all that blitzing Williams dialed up we rarely got sacks. We gain the ability up front and our backfield might actually look elite.

I'll settle for no melt downs in the last three minutes of a playoff game. And no more being so far out of position that a Slow Motion Smith can jog 28 yards for a touchdown. That one still stings...

My buddy next to me, in the Dome, is really big on sacks...I'm into it too. Sacks are cool, and I would never turn one down, I hope we get a TON of them next year....but one thing I've learned from the Gregg Williams D...for better or worse, however flawed or limited it was...the thing I learned was that it really doesn't take a BIG spectacular "pick 6" or an interception or a HUGE SACK or a MIND BLOWING game changing play, on every series of downs, to be a good defense...all it really takes is a STOP to the offensive series, and just get the ball back. A sack is a really good way to do that, it greatly increases your chances, and it's a helluva lot of fun, but it's not the only way to win a game. I do agree, I want to see more SACKS. Preferably the demoralizing kind where the QB gets up and spikes the ball in frustration, and then yells at his linemen...and you see the wave of people running on and off the field as the punting unit comes out. Those are my faves I think.

All I want is a defense that can win a slugfest type game. If we can get that, we'll win another Lombardi.

What I expect him to bring...
1. Aggressive, but under control 2. Better tackling 3. Less confusion 4. Consistency 5. Better push by the front 4 6. Players playing up to their potential |

+ No more blitz fest pls ! I mean its ok to blitz often, but not when coverage seems a better idea.Or if you want to blitz ,just do it smart, disguise it with a corner or safety, and pls no more Harper blitzing and leaving his spot open for 30 yards completions .

I want to see a QB that's uncomfortable. We don't have to sack him every down but make him move from his comfort spot and always listening for footsteps. I want our defense to impose fear in QB's.
