Cam Newton...Really?

Ok, I'm still in bewilderment as to how Newton ever got to the Pro Bowl in the first place. Not to mention his ridiculous stint the whole second half of the Pro Bowl. If I were an NFC player that was there in Hawaii, I don't think I'd have wanted to sit anywhere near Mr. Newton after that fiasco. Some of that disfunction might rub off! I mean ....really???? REALLLLLLY??????

Matt Stafford may be the biggest Pro Bowl snub of all time. Unless he just didn't want to go.

Newton is trash. Strong arm but too stupid to make the right reads. Panthers will be drafting another qb in 2 years. Maybe they could trade him to Tampa. They seem to hate good qbs...........

100% agree with this. Cam sure looked to be WAY out of his league, and why Stafford wasn't there in the first place was just plain stupid.

But he's an ELITE quarterback! Not too long before that starts.

He got LEAST Valuable Player honors for that horrendous performance.

I got to thinking that our Saints linemen were feeding him to the defense?

Cam needs to pony up $25k to each NFC pro bowler because that is what his piss poor performance cost them….all by himself. Way to go Cam.

LMAO. What a pretender, thinking he can come in and take the place of Brees and Roders. And for all the people who voted Newton into the Pro Bowl, I'm LMAO at you too.

Cam Newton Pro Bowl performance: Ugh

Cam Newton won't lose the Rookie of the Year Award based on his Pro Bowl performance in the AFC's 59-41 win, but he didn't win over any of his critics, either.

Playing the entire second half Sunday in relief of Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees, Newton completed just 9-of-27 passes for 186 yards, with three interceptions -- including one that was returned for a touchdown.

Newton was plagued by overthrows -- a problem area even as he re-wrote the rookie passing records after the Panthers drafted him No. 1 overall last year.

Newton often failed to set his feet Sunday and saw the ball sail on him. He did throw two touchdowns -- to teammate Steve Smith and Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald -- in the highest-scoring Pro Bowl in history.

Inside the Panthers: Cam Newton Pro Bowl performance: Ugh

It's so funny you say this. I was watching and thinking to myself: "Uh, maybe we don't need to ensure we keep Nicks and Bushrod as much as I thought we did."
