this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Also, there are things like, time invested in him in training him for the scheme, and whether they thought they could improve the position in FA. Last year, obviously we needed RBs, badly. Maybe they just couldn't find an equation ...

Maybe they just couldn't find an equation that worked out to a positive number for SP and GW. I don't know how bad Shanle is or isn't. Greer stood out this year. Jenkins did too -- but less so. Shanle mostly hasn't for the last two -- but I am not as good a observing defensive play as I am offensive play.
