In his mind, I'm sure he hasn't forgotten Cooper's career-ending condition. I think he will take every caution into consideration before playing again. I hope he makes the correct decision...I don't want to see him go out with a severe permanent injury.

I really hope that I am wrong, but I do believe Peyton Manning is done as an NFL player. I actually believe the stories that broke a couple of days ago that he is not regaining his arm strength, versus how good he feels today. I think he made his statements so that emphasis is not placed on him during this week. He knows this week belongs to Eli, and he is doing everything he can to keep it that way. In the end, however, I do believe we will get an announcement out of Peyton that he is hanging it up.

Yes, I know he's getting better care and medicine than I could ever hope for. It is not impossible but I just can't see how he can come back from this. Plus, in case you haven't noticed, he is all neck! ![]() But like he and the doctors stated the actual procedure has already healed, it's the nerve regeneration that is in question...as with myself. There is no telling on how much or if it will ever get back to "prior damage" state. I wish him all the luck in his rehabilitation, because I know how he feels and it sucks! |

Maybe if his dad can coach him up on that underhand pass he use to throw every now and then...it could add a year or two to his career.
