euphoria, you seemed to have left out pathon for some reason
pathon is a better reciever than northcutt and crowell, anything higher than a 5th round pick for northcutt is insane |

Northcutt is a beast... he is on the edge of a break-out year. You can quote me on that. Crowell is also a stud waiting to happen. Pathon, I like but with all these wr\'s... he is out the door. Keep in Mind Northcutt isn\'t coming. Pathon in the 5 WR set... whew

A second is too high, but I still ike Northcutt. I agree that with a small attitude adjustment the guy could be fierce. Given that our receivers are injury prove and weren\'t that impressive last season, this might not be a bad option to investigate.

Thanks for the thoughts.
BnB makes a good point about TO; what about our 5th round pick and the Beer Man for Northcutt (not that anyone would take such a trade)? How much value does a 5th round pick really have? I\'m still not convinced that a 3rd round pick has that much value compared to a proven player; here is a claim that may be worth investigating - Northcutt is as good or better than anyone we\'ve drafted in the 3rd round in the last 4 years. If someone can show that that claim is false, then I\'ll shut up about this. BnB, I hope it wasn\'t me you were cheezed with - I agreed that a second rounder was too much. I couldn\'t really tell. For the record, not that anyone cares, but I think Pathon\'s career is about over. The way he played last year (with the exception of a handful of picture perfect catches), he isn\'t showing much life left. |

Jericho Cotchery - Wr.
North Carolina St Easy 4th round steal if he makes it that far , he may come up the board . No burner , he just catches balls . Seems like he could be a Chrebet kind of player .... |

WhoDat,
It looks like we favor the same off-season strategy! What is wrong with all these people who, in my opinion, seriously overvalue draft picks? |
Northcutt
drafting is a gamble... You can find pro-bowlers in the 7th, granted rare. I think the fact that you can get them young , hungry and cheap for the first few years is the sale here. But even still sometimes its the system the player is in wether he produces like an all-pro or average. So bringing in a vet sometimes isn\'t the answer either.

northcut=3rd wideout at best. maybe a late rounder trade for him, but definitely not a 2nd.
