You gonna tell me that, with the year(s) he had, if Drew played for Dallas, NY Giants, NY Jets, etc that he wouldn't be the MVP this year? It isn't whether or not Rodgers deserved it, it's whether or not he deserved it more than Drew. I say no. I guess we just have to disagree. |

If it's the "guy who won the most stats categories" award or the "guy who threw the least ints" award or "the QB on the team with the best record" award or whatever, okay. No way he was more valuable to GB than Drew was to N.O. Shaw... |

I thought it was a longshot for Drew anyway. Didn't they do some exit polls months back with a sample of media and Aaron was overwhelmingly the MVP based on the sample?
I mean.... it's all subjective. I want to win the SB next season. I'll gladly skip the MVP if we can accomplish that. |

This award is a "Who's the media darling".
From preseason, the media has been all about Arron Rodgers. I for one don't think Rodgers is better than Drew. Drew's "Con vs Pro" was the loss to ST Louis. If he wins that game and beats San Fran; this is a whole different thread. |

Offensive player of the Year is a better award anyway. There's no ambiguous BS involved.
Who the hell cares about an award if nobody can even agree to what it means? |

The reason given from everyone who revealed their vote was that they gave it to Rodgers solely because he had a higher passer rating and nothing else.
That is why I'm pissed about this, because they found an excuse to not give it to Brees. I don't doubt that Rodgers deserved it, but their justification is what infuriates me. On the flip side, the Offensive Player of the year voting was almost the exact opposite of the MVP voting. Rodgers only had 7 votes in that one. Almost like they agreed to give one to one player and one to the other. |

And the whole passer rating system is flawed and the most unrepresentative out of the standard QB stats.

Well.....I'm going to say this & I'll leave it alone. This year's MVP snub of Drew Brees is every bit as bad as baseball's 1939 AL MVP contest when Dimaggio was crowned MVP over Ted Williams when Williams was superior in nearly every category. It's a popularity contest & a sham. By the way....Williams hit .406 that year.
