Honestly...colston is more replaceable than Nicks. its seems as though nicks has this new "my $h!t dont stink" attitude though. he does deserve money but its just crazy to me to think he would want to go to some sad team for a little more money. why wouldnt you want to play for the best team or at least the best offense in the league?!?!? |

I would think that they would try to get a replacement from either the FA pool or through the draft.
Tennant is a center, which naturally doesn't mean that he couldn't play guard, but he was already passed on as the heir to Kreutz on his primary position, so how confident are the coaching staff of his abilities? Of course, they could try to move De la Puente to guard, which is his natural position and start Tennant as the center, but that would be a huge downgrade from the current O-Line configurement. Brown is not a guard and will probably never be one, he was drafted because of his quick feet and good width of his reach - both of which are more tackle qualities than guard. They could try to move Strief to guard and start Brown as the RT, but Brown has a history of injuries and there are no guarantees that he would last longer than a few games in the line-up. I don't think they can even adequately replace Nicks from within the personnel they have at present. |

We are the best O-line in the league, we better find a way to keep Nicks, I don't like the thought of moving all the other O-line different places because I like Brees the way he is HEALTHY AND HIS HEAD ON HIS SHOULDERS.

We probably will keep all three with one being francished and go Superbowl or Bust next year. We are in a window, but it is close to being shut.

Mickey may work enough magic to keep all three.
I think our players want to play here, so I'd assume they'll be open to restructuring their contracts to allow for the addition of more talent. |
