trotter?????????????
two years ago i would have say \"Hell Yeah\"; however, I don\'t believe that Trotter is a significant upgrade over anyone we currently have at LB. He is not the force everyone thought he would be in the middle and his production while he was with the Eagles could simply be attributed to the Defense he played for (remember the Eagles have had one of the best secondarys in football over the past 3 years). I just don\'t think he is worth the pick and the price tag. I would much rather see Vilma or Cie Grant at MLB.

I\'d take him. The Redskins D-line might have been the worst in football. Trotter was effective with the great D-line of the Eagles. So, with our D-line upgraded maybe he can help us. I think he is a lot better than Ruff, Grant, and Smith. I\'d pick him up for the right price. I wouldn\'t give up too much to get him. Especially if he will be released

Trotter blows. He may be better than what we have, but he damn sure isn\'t worth a 3rd rounder or the money he would want.

we need a player to come in and be the reason the D got better not come in and put players around him to get better. Ya get a player to make your players you already have better.

Yes, you take Trotter - no question. You guys talk about draft picks as if you know what is going to happen. Any player coming in the draft is basically a complete gamble. Trotter is a good not great LB. Our current staff is bad, not terrible. It\'s an upgrade, it\'s a proven player with leadership ability. Don\'t do it for a third rounder?! The Saints\' last two third rounders have done nothing (yet). You put Trotter behind what should be an improved front four (actually they should be pretty fierce), don\'t push too many rookies or young guys into service, let them develop and play in relief or take over if they can. It\'s a good decision.

trotter?????????????
i have to agree wit whodat on dis one. trotter had stellar years in philly mainly b/c he was surrounded by a superstar cast of defenders, but that doesnt make him a bad middle linebacker, i think he is a much better linebacker than anyone we have right now.
while he didnt post super great #s in D.C. he did have some very solid years and posted just as many tackles in DC as he did when he was in philly with the exception of his first year with the skins. over the past 5 years he has averaged over 110 tackles per year. add that to the fact that he is only 27 years of age, and u get a middle linebacker we can be proud of for the next 4-5 years. either way, he is much better than any of the linebackers we have had in quite awhile here are his career stats... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/player...s?statsId=4480 [Edited on 3/27/2004 by pakowitz] |

I\'ve got to agree with WhoDat and Pak.
Who\'s heard rumors? Anyone know which teams are sniffing at Trotter, and what type of bank they\'re talking about? Damn I wish I knew what Haz and Loomis are thinking. |

His stats are pretty good, but I think he has gained a bunch of weight over the last two years. He\'s listed now as 6\' 1\" and 262. That\'s pretty heavy. Does anybody know which LB position he plays?
