I'm new, what's up fellas

Hey everyone. I was recently banned from NOS.com or warning my fellow posters of the effects that drinking dangerously strong coffee has on the human body.

I'm a draft-FREAK!!!

Who does everyone want to pick in the 1st and 2nd round picks this Draft?

I'd like to get:

1- DeAngelo Hall/Chris Gamble/Dunta Robinson

2a- Donatarius Thomas/Karlos Dansby/Teddy Lehman

2b-Devery Henderson/Rod Davis/Mike Jenkins.

IMO our biggest need is a corner b/c FA has been swept dry of all the starting quality Corners, and our FO was unable to snag one. We have been waiting for years to pickup a 1st round worthy cornerback for the future. The same goes for LB, but in this draft we can get a corner in the 1st round who can start right away, IMO none of the LB's are worthy of the 18th overall pick. Also, I think the draft will run out of quality corners by our 2nd pick, where we may still be able to draft a LB like Donatarius Thomas!

I really want Thomas. He's 6'2, 243, ran a 4.55 40-dash and jumps a 39" vertical!!! Great athlete, he's great in coverage too! He could be that great all-around MLB we've been waiting for!

As for the corners, I don't think Hall will fall to us b/c he is said (by some) to be the next Deion Sanders. He's so much of a threat b/c everytime he touches the ball he's a threat to score, on defense or special teams.
Chris Gamble would be a solid pick if he can put on some weight. He's tall, so that would compliment Fred Thomas well. He has a ton of potential b/c he's only been playing corner for a few seasons, and played some WR.
Dunta Robinson would be another corner I'd be happy to pickup at #18. He's just about as fast as Hall, and hasn't played corner as long. He has legit 4.3 speed, which would help us out no matter what, even if he has to play nickel as a rookie.

-Opinions?

welcome joe87, you are welcome with all of your opinons.... i think it would be great to add hall, but i do not think that he will be around at the 18th pick so if we wanted him i believe we would have to trade up, in the 2nd i like rod davis and or donatarius thomas

keep the comments coming... just keep them clean

In the 2nd, I would prefer Thomas over Davis because the word is Thomas is more versatile and play all 3 LB positions.

So that way, If Cie works out at MLB, Thomas could replace Rodgers or Allen/Hodge.

Billy, err I mean Caddy, that is almost verbatim what I was going to write. I\'d love to have Davis, but if Thomas is still there I\'d go with him instead. I even changed the order in my sig to reflect that.

Only bad thing about Thomas is that LSU steamrolled him.

Welcome to the board, joe.

My preference is obviously with Rod Davis. I think we need a pure MLB. No one knows for sure if Cie Grant will grow into the position.

With that being said, I\'d still do backflips if we ended up with Thomas.

Vilma and Williams are studs and should not be overlooked. I do feel though we are set to draft a cb...its pretty obvious. So its going to come down to who is there.

Whowatches-
I would love to get Thomas and Davis with our 2 2nd round picks. The best thing about Thomas is his speed and his versatility to play any LB position. I cannot believe that he can jump a 39\'\' vertical!!! That is pure athletisism, especially for a LB!!!

Euphoria-
I don\'t think Williams and Vilma are really worth a 1st round pick... I don\'t think ANY LB\'s in this Draft are really worth it... IMO our best value for a LB will be in the 2nd round with LB\'s like D. Thomas and Rod Davis. Vilma and Williams have the measurables, but they had NFL caliber players playing around them too.

Well, our FO has done nothing this offseason to help the CB situation, so we must address it in the 1st round b/c we definitely need someone to start in the future.

Hold ma drink, I\'m Rick James!!!
