I definately agree that Randle is 1st round talent, but most scouts have him going in the second round due to the fact he had a no talent moron throwing him the ball & he never got to showcase that talent. Either way.....I would love to have him if we lose Colston.

This is the guy I want them to get! (check out the clothesline at 1:30)
Spags could mold this guy into a pass rushing monster who could line up in any defensive front spot. |

I'm all for drafting Wolfe. If Hightower isn't there and we end up drafting Crick in the 2nd and Wolfe in the third, instead of the 3rd and 5th, then I still think we've gotten two steals.

It would actually be awesome if the Saints could maybe get Ronnell Lewis, the Oklahoma LB/DE in the 2nd round (it is a stretch he'll be available) and then get Derek Wolfe (DT/DE) in the 3rd round.
Those would be two great tacklers and couple of guys who could line up in various positions and spots in the front 7, which should make Spags happy. |

Some more guys I like:
DE Whitney Mercilus 6'4" 265lbs (Doubt he'll still be there in round 2 though) DT Alameda Ta'amu 6'3" 341lbs (Maybe an option in round 3) SS Harrison Smith 6'2" 212lbs (A friend of mine thinks he'll be the best safety in the draft. Another round 3 option) WR Gerell Robinson 6'3" 223lbs (round 5-6 A late round replacement for Colston?) RB/WR/KR Chris Rainey 5'8" 178 (with his speed/big play ability, hard to pass in round 5 or later) LB Vontaze Burfict 6'3" 250lbs (I remember someone on here wanting him, could be a steal in round 3 or later. I saw a projection of him in the 3rd) TE Michael Egnew 6'5" 245lbs (Could be an outstanding pick in the 5th. I doubt TE is a big enough need to draft earlier) I guess thats all for now. |

I think that the trend this year will be on big TEs like Egnew, because all the teams want to have a Graham/Gronskowski/Hernandez type of a TE, so their value will probably be inflated.
Also, if they were to pick a safety, I would like them to look for more of a FS type, because I firmly believe that Abdul-Quddus is the one who'll take over from Harper when that time comes around. And, on the other hand, while Amaya is a really good special teams player and a capable FS backup, I don't know if he can ever become a legitimate starter at FS. |
