This reminds me of my 35th birthday.

I was fine until my friend pointed out that I was officially closer to 40 than 30.

I hate the end of football season. Why doesn't the NFL have a spring league?

No guaranteed contracts in the NFL.

One injury and you have nothing.

Also, NFL teams carry 53 dudes plus practice squad.

Basketball teams carry something like 12 dudes.

Easier to put a team together with some real talent.

5 starting dudes vs 22 starting dudes plus back-up dudes and special teams dudes..............

I know your question was rhetorical but it got me thinking.

I now there are more reasons but it won't happen so.....
