The Saints signed K Garrett Hartley to a five-year contract before the lockout in early 2011, so it’s pretty obvious that they see Hartley as the kicker of the future. If Hartley is 100 percent healthy, it will be quite a surprise if John Kasay returns to the Saints. Or Veteran K John Kasay was a nice pickup after K Garrett Hartley landed on injured reserve with a hip injury. Kasay made 28 of his 34 field-goal attempts with a long of 53 yards. Kasay saved the Saints when they could have been in major trouble after Hartley went down, and he proved that he’s still an NFL caliber kicker. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/rapid-reports Last edited by Saintswrath; 02-19-2012 at 03:33 AM.. |

Bring them both to training camp, see what "heartburn" Hartley looks like, then decide.

I still like the youngster. I would bring Kasay to camp so that he puts pressure on Hartley to bring his A game. It would also showcase to the rest of the NFL that he's still got it. It's a win/win to me.
